Mason Pictures

Mason is just the happiest baby ever! He's full of big smiles and lots of laughs. Mason and his dad are the best "eaters" ever, they always clean off their plates! They both end up with food on their clothes after eating.

Welcome Home Uncle Cris

Mason got to spend his first Christmas with Uncle Cris, who just returned from Ethiopia. Cris brought back some cute hand made African animal toys for Mason to play with. This was the first time since Mason's birth that Cris has seen him.
p.s. Welcome back to Amy too.

Merry Christmas

Mason was very excited during the gift opening experience! He enjoyed tearing into the gifts, and pulling the bows off and shreading the wrapping paper. Thank you everyone for all the wonderful gifts. Aunt Shannon, thanks for the bigger clothes that this "Growing Boy" will be wearing soon!

New Hat

I finally was able to find Mason a hat that Velcros under his chin (he kept pulling the other kind off). He looks so cute in it! There are matching mittens too.

Swimming with Uncle Kevin and Daddy

The guys took Mason swimming on Saturday. He loves to watch the other kids in the pool.

First Snowfall

We took another trip up to Hurricane Ridge while Kevin was here. It was beautiful on the way up the mountain. It was snowing up at the top- the difference in snow since we were up there last was amazing.

Uncle Kevin's Visit

Keith's brother Kevin came to visit over Thanksgiving. Mason was confused when he first saw that there were two Daddies. He really enjoyed all the attention though. It was nice to see Kevin again and we hope that he comes back to visit soon!

Terrible Haircut

Mason and Keith both got haircuts the other day. There wasn't any openings at the barber shop so they went to the base. It was horrible!! I just wanted the hair around Mason's ears trimmed a little, but before you knew it the lady was trimming his bangs (unevenly of course) and "thinning his hair" (which is code for "taking away all of his baby softness"), and then she got out her electric trimmer... Mason didn't care for that too much, so she only got to butcher one side of his head. I have no idea what she was trying to do. It was pretty horrifying for me, but Mason was pretty good through the whole thing.

Needless to say, his hair is very uneven. One side around is face is shaved almost bald while the other is long and uneven. Luckly she realized that we weren't too happy and didn't charge us. I don't think that we will be going back there again.

Class Picture

Today was the last day of swimming class until January. Mason loves the class. He enjoys watching all the other kids and playing in the water. He has grown so much since his first lesson. He now gets into the water on his own, voluntarily puts his face in the water, kicks his feet all on his own, and is more comfortable on his back now. We will be taking more lessons in January and will probably be going to open swim until then.
The instructor took these photos last week when Keith was able to make the class.

Back to the Sink

Our bathroom is currently under construction, so Mason and I have been using the kitchen sink to bathe in. While Mason doesn't mind using the kitchen, I can't wait for our bathroom to be back in showering order.

Baby in Red

I found this snowsuit at the thrift store for only $4. It works great for keeping Mason warm on walks and when we're working outside in this chilly weather. What a great deal!

Extra Hand

Lately Mason has been carrying things (like his sock that he's pulled off) around in his mouth. This "extra hand" is especially useful when getting into trouble.

Grip-y Socks

I've been having the hardest time finding no-slip socks for Mason. Now that he is trying to walk his regular socks are too slippy for the hardwood floors. Today I bought some puff-paint and decorated the bottom of Mason's socks. According to the Parenting magazine I get this should work (keep your fingers crossed). Here are his new and improved socks...

Cute Costume Pics

Mason loved wearing his lion costume. We didn't go trick or treating, but he got to wear it to the grocery store. He played really hard and then crashed. I love the second picture because it shows his first little tooth.

Roar!!!

Our little lion says "Happy Halloween!"

Hurricane Ridge

We took a drive up to Hurricane Ridge on Friday morning. It was about a 30 minute drive up to get there (5600 feet up) and was well worth it. We were up above the clouds and the views were breath-taking. You could see quite a few of the mountains and glaciers in the distance. This was Mason's first encounter with snow- he was really curious and got the cutest look on his face when he touched it. We went for a little hike and took the third picture which shows the ranger station/visitor center, the parking lot (our car is the first one on the left) and the mountains. The fifth picture looks down on Port Angeles and the water in the distance. I can't wait to go back up again in the Springtime to see all the flowers and green mountain sides.

Such a Guy

Boys must be born with the "remote" gene. Mason loves playing with ours and crys when you take them away.

Thanks Grannie!

Thank you Grannie and Grandpa D for my Haloween bib, shirt and book! I really like the kitty in the book and Mommy says I look adorable in the clothes! Love you- Mason

Riding My Bike

Here's some cute pics of Mason riding his bike. He is just starting to be able to ride it forward instead of just in reverse.
