Hurricane Ridge
We took a drive up to Hurricane Ridge on Friday morning. It was about a 30 minute drive up to get there (5600 feet up) and was well worth it. We were up above the clouds and the views were breath-taking. You could see quite a few of the mountains and glaciers in the distance. This was Mason's first encounter with snow- he was really curious and got the cutest look on his face when he touched it. We went for a little hike and took the third picture which shows the ranger station/visitor center, the parking lot (our car is the first one on the left) and the mountains. The fifth picture looks down on Port Angeles and the water in the distance. I can't wait to go back up again in the Springtime to see all the flowers and green mountain sides.
Such a Guy
Thanks Grannie!

Swimming Lessons
Mason and I started our Parent-Tot swimming lessons last night. It was a lot of fun and Mason really enjoyed it. When we first got into the pool Mason would cling to me, but by the end of our 30 min. class he was a lot more comfortable in the water. We did a lot of singing with motions, kicking on backs and stomachs, blowing bubbles, splashing, jumping into the water, and hand and arm motions. I think all the boys liked playing with the toys the best.
Mason is the youngest in a class of 4 boys (the others are over a year; the oldest 2 1/2). He wasn't too interested in the other kids, but was fascinated with the people swimming laps in the bigger pool.
Stay tuned for pictures; Keith is out on the boat so we didn't have a camera man.

First Haircut
Mason had his first haircut on October 6th. The lady that was doing all the bride maids' hair for the wedding gave him an impromptu haircut on outside on the front porch. He didn't mind at all because Daddy was holding him. She cut a surprising amount of hair off (which we put in a baggie to take home for his baby book). The best part was that Mason had "flirted" his way into a free haircut! He looks so grown-up now. Here are some before and after pics (we didn't have a camera with us for the actual haircut).

Congratulations Holly and Aaron!!!
This weekend was pretty busy as I was in my best friend Holly's wedding. Mason was so good for the whole thing (couples dinners, rehearsal and dinner, hair and make-up party and then the wedding itself). So many people commented on how well behaved and handsome he is.

The wedding was beautifully done. Holly looked amazing! I am so happy for her and Aaron and wish them the best with their future together! Me and Mason after the wedding- we were both so tired!
