Extra Fiber?

Mason was being super silly at dinner tonight. Everything he ate first had to be placed in his hair and rubbed around a little bit. Yum!

Needless to say, he had a bath right after dinner.

Clallam County Fair

We went to the fair yesterday since Keith had the day off work. Mason was scared of the horses and wouldn't even go on the pony rides. He did really enjoy the chickens and goats though. We fibbed and told the ride people that he was 2 years old, so he was able to go on a few rides. He loved the car one and went on it twice.

The fair was nice, but seemed really small especially compared to the Puyallup Fair.

Mason and I spent the last week at Lake Chelan where my aunt has a condo. We had tons of fun swimming. Mason lost all fear of the water and kept jumping off the edge of the pool- whether someone was there to catch him or not- so he had to wear his little floaty suit. He loved flirting with all the little girls at the pool; it was very cute to watch.

Dad's Backpacking Trip

Nicci and Mason are away on a trip to Eastern Washington, so I went backpacking over the weekend. I took a guy from work on a 5,5oo foot hike above Port Angeles, where we encountered some mountain goats climbing the rocks. We had a great view of the Strait of Juan De Fuca, Canada, Port Angeles, and Sequim. We ran out of water on the hike "up" the mountain, so we melted snow for cooking and drinking water. It was a nice trip, and an excellent workout!
