Good Hair Day

Mason and Brenna did my hair for me the other day. You can't really see their work of art since most of the bows are on the back of my head. When they were done Mason said I was pretty enough to dance with a prince.

LEGO Tower

Mason gets a LEGO magazine in the mail and he always wants to build what has been pictured. This is his bridge turned tower.

Little Stinker

This is the look I got when I asked her to get off the table...

Family Fun at Park

We took the kids to the "duck" park for a day of fun. They loved playing on the big toys, seeing the puppies at the dog park, catching grasshoppers, smelling the flowers, and seeing all the ducks. It was a beautiful day, and the perfect way to end Keith's vacation time with us.

Pumpkin Patch

I love going to the pumpkin patch with the kids. It's so much fun to see them tromping around, ooh-ing and awe-ing over the pumpkin, pigs, chickens, and all the other displays.

"That's the one Dad."

They liked the pigs as long as they kept their distance.

"Awe, a Baby one!"

By far their favorite part was being pushed around in the wheelbarrow.

Lake Sylvia Camping

The family all got together for an end-of-season camping trip. Friday was beautiful, but it rained almost non-stop on Saturday. Our tent got wet and we ended up sleeping in the back of the Denali. On the bright side, when you camp in a down pour, you get the whole campground to yourself!
We had a blast! Mason and Brenna loved playing in the rain and muck. My favorite quote was Brenna saying, "I like poo!" after Keith tried to convince her that the mud was poo and to stay away.
Auntie Amy and kids staying dry.
When you're camping you can drink at any hour...

Mason had fun catching bugs to put in his carrier.

Mason and Brenna loved feeding the geese.

Setting up our "blue sky." It works great as long as no one chops wood around the lines!
Cheesing by the dam.
We got to see otters, tons of geese, frogs, and a raccoon.

Happy Kiddos

Why are they so happy? Because they're in Daddy's "Eep" of course! Brenna loves when we go off road; she claps and laughs. Mason is a little more cautious; he is very aware of where the road drops off to steep mountainous hillsides.

Tortilla Soup!

Mason helps Grannie juice the lime. He then ate the remains.

Dinner prep took too long...

Playdough Body Art

Did Uncle Cris teach her this?

Retelling of Noah and the Ark

At preschool today, Mason was told the story of Noah and the Ark. I asked him to tell me the story over dinner tonight, and this is what he said:

All the animals got on a big boat that they bought at a store. Except for hippos and snakes (don't ask him why). They went way, way, way far out to sea. A baby horse fell into the water and was eaten by a shark, so there were only big horses left. The waves got really big, the boat sank, and everyone died. An elephant saw a surf board, climbed on and made it to the beach.

This wasn't exactly how I remembered the story going, but I must say that it was pretty entertaining. Maybe he will be a writer.
